Dr. Susan Karabin (center) attended the Past Presidents luncheon at the Centennial meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology in San Francisco this September. Dr. Karabin served as the first “modern day” female President of this organization from 2007-2008. The Academy of Periodontology was actually started by two women dentists 100 years ago!
