Dr. Karabin served as President of the American Academy of Periodontology in 2007. At the 94th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology in Seattle (Sept., 2008), Dr. Karabin gave a surprise Salsa performance with her dance instructor at her presidential party.
