The first thing you will notice upon visiting our office is that it is located in a townhouse in the Treadwell Farms Historic district on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Upon entering, you will be greeted by our friendly staff and be transported by the tranquil setting, where the waiting room has a wood burning fireplace and the treatment rooms face a spectacular garden and terrace. However, don’t be fooled by the serene setting, we also have the most technologically advanced equipment and materials to give you the highest level of care possible. As Periodontists our goal is always to first and foremost preserve the natural dentition in a healthy and functional state. However, when that is not possible and teeth are lost, the most advanced implant procedures are performed by both Dr. Karabin and Dr. Gottesman.
Dr. Karabin has always had a special interest in Women’s oral health issues. In particular how Pregnancy, Menopause, Osteoporosis, Bisphosphonates and Systemic Diseases effect a woman’s oral health. In addition she works closely with Orthodontists to provide children and adults with supportive periodontal procedures to ensure a good Orthodontic outcome. In addition she has worked closely with the Cranio-facial team at NYU to provide patients with adjunctive periodontal procedures to enhance the esthetic outcome of their treatment.
Dr. Gottesman enjoys the challenge of complex reconstructive procedures that entail advanced bone grafting for teeth and implants and computer guided implant procedures. Another area of interest for him, for which many patients seek him out, is his superb results in esthetic gingival grafting, crown lengthening and lip repositioning to enhance the smile. In addition he is trained in oral sedation so that he can provide these procedures in a painless, anxiety free state.
